The IISER Mohali is now accepting applications for the Ph.D program starting January 2025. This program includes coursework, a qualifying examination, thesis work, and a thesis examination.
IISER Mohali admission process for the academic year 2024 has started. The registration for JEE Main 2024 session 2 has started on February 2, 2024 and the last date to apply for the same is March 2, 2024. Candidates have to first appear for JEE Main and then JEE Advanced for BTech admissions at IISER Mohali. The IISER Mohali's integrated PhD admission requirements are based on JEST rank, DST INSPIRE fellowship, KVPY scholarship, IIT JAM rank, and interview. The KVPY channel, JEE Advanced, and SCB channel are used in the selection process for the BS-MS dual degree. The marks earned in the 10+2 will also be considered.
In addition to an interview, candidates for the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research PhD admission are chosen based on their performance in the relevant specialisations of the GATE, CSIR or GPAT, ICMR-JRF, UGC-NET, DST-INSPIRE exams. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholars admitted to IISER Mohali will draw fellowships as per KVPY norms. In addition, the Department of Science and Technology provides a limited number of INSPIRE IISER Mohali Scholarships of Rs 5000/- per month to candidates admitted through JEE and SCB channels, upon fulfilling the criteria set by DST. The Institute provides basic facilities to students as well as faculty members. IISER Mohali Hostel Facilities are available for IISER Mohali Faculty and Visitors. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Lab Facilities includes two labs HETeU and LEReU Lab. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Sports Facilities include an Athletics track, Basketball Court, Throwball & Volleyball Court, Badminton & Table Tennis, Chess, and a huge ground to play Cricket, Football, Kabbadi, and Kho Kho. IISER Mohali Lab Facilities includes the setting up of these labs in an effort to combine two unfulfilled needs, to mutual advantage, in a manner that is probably unprecedented.
